Davide Cavalca

Short Biography

Born in Mantova on 1984, Davide Cavalca received the Bachelor Degree in Informatics Engineering at the University of Pavia with the thesis “Metodologie di attacco su reti a pacchetto TCP/IP” (Attack vectors on TCP/IP packet networks) in 2006. In April 2008, he joined the GeeXboX project. In July 2008 he received the Master Degree in Informatics Engineering “cum laude” from the same university with the thesis “Sviluppo di una piattaforma distribuita per il monitoraggio del malware in Internet” (Development of a distributed platform for Internet malware monitoring). In 2008 he received the Information Engineer professional habilitation. In 2009 he also became CACert Assurer.

Davide Cavalca is currently working as Freelance IT consultant, mostly on system administration and embedded Linux development. He is contracting with the Department of Electronics of the University of Pavia, working on the development of GED4GEM, a multi-scale global exposure database within the GEM project.
